Prof. Montclare was among other prominent members of the NYC STEM community invited to speak at the 2016 Women in STEM Summit, encouraging and pushing for gender equality in science and engineering. The theme for the summit was “Envision and Empower.” Alongside Keynote Speaker, Minerva Tantoco, the first-ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the City of New York, Prof. Montclare contributed to the discussion reminding young women in the STEM community “STEM can allow you to make a difference in the world, so go for it.” Thank you, Prof. Montclare for sharing your experiences and spreading the summit’s goal to “envision and empower.” Click here to find out more about the event.
